Kenya’s situation is not unique; similar challenges have affected many regions across the globe.

Women in underprivileged environments often face complex challenges and dramatic circumstances, yet they possess immense potential. Unfortunately, cultural stereotypes can often restrict their freedom and opportunities. This is where a strong textile manufacturing industry can play a pivotal role in fostering their economic empowerment and independence.

Clothes, footwear, and household textiles contribute significantly to water pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, and landfill waste. Fast fashion — the constant release of new styles at low prices — has driven a sharp increase in the production and disposal of clothing. And we need to change it.
